You Are Not Alone

One thing I always try to remind people of in my corporate life is that everyone’s got problems. Might not appear that way, might not be obvious and they probably don’t talk about it, but many times it is true. My intent then as a leader, was to help if I could, show understanding, but let folks know not bring your problems to work.  My intent now as a coach, is to say you are not the only one with challenges and logjams.  That’s OK. It is alright. Just breathe and feel some positivity come in.

I still find myself falling into the trap of making comparisons. Seeing people that look like they have it all together and everything just flows. Success, happiness, money, all of it. Even though I have been fortunate enough to meet a few people like that and hear their stories. They put on a good show for the crowd and then go home to face all types of issues, and sometimes profoundly serious ones.

So again, you are not alone in your struggles. It is OK to seek some help if needed.  It can be difficult for some people to admit to another that they are stuck. It might just be a little stuck, or it might be a full on buried up to the axles stuck. Either way you do not have to face things alone. You can call for a tow. And what’s even better, you have all the tools you need inside of you to get yourself unstuck! Surprise!

As a coach I will not offer advice or point you in the right direction. It is a big difference from my past career where guidance and mentoring were a part of my job. That is why I sought out a coaching education to learn how to help the client make their own discoveries and decisions. Coaching is all about you, should you choose to seek one out. You will not be given the answers. YOU will discover the answers hidden inside of you. I refer to this as your truth. I genuinely enjoy helping my clients and finding each of their truths with them by coaching.

Whether you are looking for direction, facing a big decision, feeling frustration or maybe you feel unsatisfied and aren’t sure why, seeking a coach to help can get things moving in a positive direction. Or maybe you might want to get some validation on plans you already have or need some help with accountability? That can all be beneficial. Make YOUR path easier to follow and put your truth within reach.

In the words of Maya Angelou, “Stepping onto a brand-new path is difficult, but not more difficult than remaining in a situation, which is not nurturing to the whole woman.” And I will add any person that is not living their truth. Breathe, stop comparing, and remember how amazing you are. Tell yourself it is OK to talk.   Especially if you find the right person to listen. I would be honored to be that person for you, please connect with me if you have any questions about the Life Coaching process. Personal Path Life is here to help.
